(This week I will start on research and learning how to use After Effect to make 3D animation to ensure that I have most important skills to start my project)

Today afternoon, I start to do my experiment for 3D animation. What I am doing is learning how to use ‘3D layer’ in After Effect. 3D as part of my project, I am not going to build 3d character, but I will use After Effect to make a ‘3D layer’ animation.
Practice 1: make three layers animation by using After Effect camera tool and 3D layer tool.
Step one: draw three different images used Photoshop and make the image transparent. (I draw 6, but just use three for practice.)

Step two: import images into After Effect and setup in right order. (animation should show the right bottom squires transform from small to big size)

Step three: setup the variable ‘transform’- ‘scales’ for animation.

Step four: Setup camera by using layer-new-camera. And make it in right position.

Step five: In the ‘parent’ click the box, change all layer following the ‘Camera1’, and changes distance between each layer.

In practice 1, images moved by changing the size, for next practice I would like to move ‘camera’ in order to make images moving on the screen.

Practice 2:
In practice 2, I’m still use one camera, but I moving images by setup two position and scale points. So, each image changes it’s size with time, also the distant (closer / far) from the camera.

Gives camera a shadow effect, so the motion-track will gives shadow behind the image, which brings the work into reality.
